Tomas. Excellent article. Hope everybody reads it. FOX channel had a great special about a week ago on the giant US government "landgrab" that's taken shape during the Clinton/Gore regime and other important & other very significant US gov infringments on private property rights. Many of them arguably in violation of the US constitutions "taking clause". During the Clintonista regime, the EPA has truly been transformed into a "big brother" agency. It's attacks on private property owners, particularly in the Western US as detailed in the FOX special have reached a shocking level of abusiveness and questionable legality. Left leaning environmental groups outside the government with the active encouragement of Clinton/Gore appointed EPA officials have been filing incredibly frivolous complaints under the endangered species act to aid the Clinton/Gore admin in taking enormous tracts of acreage out of private hands and putting them under direct government control. Another method is Clinton's pulling other large tracts of important land out of the private economy via the National Monuments loophole. Most of the tracts "nationalized" in this manner have no historical or cultural significance. But under the act, the president can declare ANY area a monument WITHOUT congressional approval or public hearings! Truly a dream opportunity for the authoritarian politician. One of the largest low sulphur coal areas in the entire western hemisphere was taken out of our private economy with these measures! Except for the FOX Network special last week, there's been little or nothing in the media about these Clinton/Gore inniatives against the private economy. Looks like the pattern of the old line New York liberal TV network managements tacit support of the political left in Washington continues unabated. That's why I only half jokingly refer to the FOX Network as "TV Free America"<G>. Under a Gore admnin, expect such big gov socialist policies to continue and probably accelerate.
