40 minutes for DELTREE ... Something must be going beyond a simple DELTREE command. DELTREE can erase my entire hard disk in little more than a few seconds. (I've done it!) On my system, the commands I posted will execute in well under one second. And yes, passwords and like stuff stored in cookies will be lost, but these commands are a desperate solution to address serious and strange problems, not everyday stuff. I should've been clearer on HOW to get the commands I posted into a .BAT file, and what to do then, but it looks like you figured it out OK anyway. Cheers, PW.
