What is up with all the "Intel" benchmarks??? This seems completely stacked against AMD. I can see if you are thinking "well this would be the worst case test for the Athlon DDR", HOWEVER, you are creating a precendent for yours, and other sites more importantly, to use these "Intel" benchmarks to compare the two competitors. This is completely biased an unfair to AMD and the reader/consumer.

The point of the Intel benchmarks was to show that the AMD 760/DDR platform can beat Intel's 820/RDRAM platform in their own benchmark. While it is definitely a worst case scenario for AMD, it only makes the benchmarks in which the DDR platform prevails even more impressive. Don't worry, Intel's suite has never been a part of our normal test suite, we only use it in the rare occaisions that we can gain something from the data.
So, who do you believe, Anand or some anonymous Rambus flack on Yahoo? A rhetorical question, of course. Rambus flacks have to stick together. |
