dybdahl - I don't know the story in Denmark, but here in the US the Visual Studio programming suite is the overwhelming favorite for development. That popularity has declined somewhat in te last few years, but still, the most frequent comment I hear is "boy, I just wish I had the kind of rich programming environment for Linux (or Solaris or whatever non-MS stack) as I have with Visual Studio". That's one reason why I think the .NET idea is a winner.
