As a first "tip off", now that expiration is over, this coming week will be interesting. If I had to guess I'd expect the next couple of days to be up. Following a down triple witch there is frequently a reflex. Given the old saw about amateurs controlling the beginning of the week and the pros the end of the week, Thursday and Friday will be worth watching.

Well so far today, so much for the "reflex rally". Perhaps I should've remembered another saw about only a fool makes public short term market predictions. Still the real test will be the end of the week.

Forecasting A Long Run For Stocks

So Ralph Icanmakeyoupoorah has a new book. I'd like to point out there is a third alternative contrary to both Ralph's and Shiller's view. The idea is that once P/E's reach an upper limit the market indices stall and trade in a choppy sidewise fashion until the next (Dent) demographic wave takes the market down. Sorta like '66 to '72. In such a market very good money can be made, you just have to be a stock picker. Not saying this is what's going to happen, just one of the possibilities.

Meanwhile watchin' Q with a smile on my face.
