I'm puzzled by the concept of Cash Flow. I've heard some people say that a particular stock (usually one with high P/E and P/Sales) should be evaluated on it's cash flow, not it's P/E or P/S.

How is cash flow computed?

How can a company have a high cash flow unless it has high sales, or at least high income from some source (such as investment income)?

Richard, please reply.
Any others, feel free to reply.
