EFCX battery maker vs Fuel Cells:

The devices being developed by EFCX have some similarities to fuel cells and claim excellent performance, but they are still really batteries in that they only store energy and require externally generated power to reprocess or recharge their fuel components. True fuel cells generate power, not store it. They rely on a continuous fuel stream and do not not consume themselves in use or require replacement or reprocessing of their components to maintain power output.
