Yeah, read this recent news carefully. Once again a non-essential transaction regarding their soon to be "dominance" of the MPEG chip industry. Look carefully at bottom of announcement for disclaimers about info given. Innovacom is covering their ass for evential fall of company.
This is a company that needs to acquire a worthless film company just to stay in the black.
You know how most companies do that, they sell quality cutting edge products and generate revenue.
+++++Do you really think this small, unproven, ill-financed company is going to produce such a magnificant MPEG chip that it'll take over that market? Like all of the giant semiconductor companies(Intel, Lucent, C-Cube, Vlsi, EEST, Discreet logic, ect.) are just going to sit on their butts while Innovacom waits to ship out their wonder chip?
No way in hell. These companies are already surpassing the so-called chip Innovacom claims to have ready come 1st quarter 98'.
This is the hi-tech sector of the world people. Companies just don't sit around waiting for the little guys to snatch up their market, they eleiminate them by superior products that come out on time.
As for your pitiful claims that companies like Microsoft ect.. were nothing at one time and look what they accomplished, they had a product that wasn't already out their, and were the first to the punch.
Innovacom is a day late and a dollar short.

Message boards aren't just for people that own a stock, or have something nice to say about it. The reason I write here is because I want to. I find it humorous that so many people are quick to get offended when someone gives them serious reason to doubt a stock, then they can't give one legitamite reason why MPEG is a good stock in return. All I have got in return so far is wishful thinking. People make money in this world by hard work and thorough investigation. But time and time again I keep hearing that this stock will go up due to what the company has said. That is the completely wrong way to pick a stock! There is no, I repeat no, concrete evidence that this company has the product, technology, or market share to make a dime in the mpeg chip industry. Innovacom has done nothing but show they cannot meet deadlines, and show a need to stock swap buy-out worthless companiess just to stay afloat.
And most importantly, this so=called wonder chip that they keep pushing back the release of is currently being made, shipped, and advanced by huge companies while Innovacom "hums" and "has" all of its investors into a trance.
+++Mark my words, the longer this company pussy foots around, the more its price will go down, and all of the people once blowing this company will jump ship.
--The reason I watch this company you ask? Pure entertainment, as I watch all of these duped bushleague investors like Miami ect. lose there shirt and panic their asses off!!!!!!

It's amazing how so many people can bash your opinions on innovacom, but can't back up there reason's for investing in this dog.
Maybe some of the backers are working for innovacom.
Regardless, I think most of them don't wanna admit they invested in a company just because of a bunch of internal hype.
There's nothing wrong in making a poor business decision, the mistake is when you don't cut your losses and move on. I am sure you got as sucessful as you are from learning this lesson a long time ago.
Why do they keep thinking you are trying to short this company. Anyone with any market knowledge knows it would be virtually impossible to short an OTC stock priced at $3.
I guess they are trying to grasp at straws.

You have a company here that has no earnings, is making a chip in a saturated market, and can't seem to get their product out on time.
I usually just read the boards and never leave messages, but these people are pathetic.

What makes me sick is ignorant amature investors ripping an obviously seasoned analsyt for helping out. I recently read all of the messages since bllnman entered this board and he was nice at first until you guys started ripping on his abilities. This guys is a retired professional that has made a fortune on stock picking. He was just origionally trying to help. I have spoken to him several times since joining the board, and has comented several times about the purpose of his origional postings. He has seen many duped investors in his time, as have I in the real estate business. Innovacom is yanking everyone's chain.
Let's face facts,
No revenue
a delayed product in a saturated market
no real information or praise except internally from company
These things aren't reckless ripping of a company, these are hard cold facts.
Sure, investing in a risky stock isn't for the weak of heart. I agree, In talking with bllnman, he told many a risky endevours in tech stocks, such as Microsoft, Intel, Discreet Logic, Lucent ect.
But all of these companies had new and innovative products. Innovacom unfortunately is slowly developing a product already saturated by huge and well established companies. I am all for risk, but this is suicide.
I know you all hate bllnman now, but he is a great guy, or a least a brilliant one in regards to stocks.
The first question I asked him was why I should listen to him and he said "Becasue I live to make money. I have 5 million in liquid assets, a $3 million home on Vashon Island, and retired before I was 35."
Enough said.

Obviously all the proof in the world isn't going to make anyone hear take a closer look at this dog.

You used to work on Megellan back in the 80s.
I know it's hard to ignore idiots like this. Investing in a company that has no earnings, a "invisable" wonder product, and gobs of interal hype is so bush-league. To call this risk-investing is a knock on risk investor's. This is called wish-investing. But that's why we work in the industry making millions, and amatures like this stand by and hope.
I'll give you one reason why they think this company will suceed,
because they risked some serious bank in it and are screwed if it fails.
Quit asking them for concrete answers, they don't have any.
