I think before too long the whole "minority" thing will go the way of the dodo bird, anyway. These days the only real minority is the former majority, everyone else fits into one minority group or other. Some people fit into two or three minority groups, they're triple baggers.

I think the worst thing people can do is think of themselves as a member of a minority, it sets up an "us versus them" way of thinking that dooms you to failure.

When I worked for the federal government there were always forms where you had to identify your status as a minority or white male (the only group not in a protected class).

I used to identify myself as an American eskimo just to through them off.
