Paul and Elmer, RE: "I just bought Intel at $56 1/8 - as well as selling more puts - November $55's ( for $4 1/4) and Jan2001 $50s (for $3 1/2). Maybe the "sale" isn't over, but I think that Intel is a bargain at 25% off its recent all time highs.

Picked up a lot more INTC shares today.

I agree the "sale" may not be over, but since INTC is well-positioned I believe it's a good buy for the long-term.

Btw, someone very bright pointed out to me a pattern (which some call the "Sept doldrums") that INTC has dropped approximately 25% from the August high - every year - since 1997, followed by a recovery by January.

These drops are:

28-Aug-00 $75.8125....11-Sep-00 $56.625 (-25%)
30-Aug-99 $89.50......18-Oct-99 $67.0625 (-25%)
17-Aug-98 $89.75......31-Aug-98 $70.9375 (-21%)
04-Aug-97 $99.7656....03-Nov-97 $72.0156 (-28%)

After each of the 3 big 25% drops, INTC recovered in January.

Regards,
Amy J
