Many people think that Cheney himself did not go through complete vetting process. I suggest that same is true about Dubya. Republican establishment picked him up just like a venture capitalist picking up a dot com company, pumping money, hyping him up and get it ready for an IPO. Looks like hype is giving way to reality. It took dubya a whopping $50 million to stave off McCain threat.
