Wouldn't it be better to buy JDSU, the acquirer of SDLI? The acquisition has cause JDSU to drop from 126 to 99. I am looking to buy some in the 90's.

If you want JDSU and you think the merger will go through it would be better to buy SDLI. Each SDLI share (cost $303.88) will get you 3.8 shares of JDSU (cost $97.91x3.8 or
$372.058).
I did buy some JDSU right after the annoucement of the merger. I bought at about $104 and sold at $140. I didn't catch the top or the bottom but it was a nice trade. If the
discount on SDLI (vs 3.8 shares of JDSU) drops signifigantly
then I would look into buying JDSU instead.
