Computer Associates to focus on e-sales,spinoffs

Mr. Kumar, who was in Toronto last week on a one-day visit with clients that included the City of Toronto
and various Canadian banks,also said Computer Associates
has no interest in buying Geac Computer Corp. Ltd. Analysts had said Computer Associates could be a
potential bidder after Toronto-based software maker Geac retained CIBC World Markets Inc. earlier
this month to advise it in conssidering the sale of part or all of its businesses.

"The business that Geac has is not something that fits strategically with
our long-term prospects," Mr. Kumar said.
