Why not put on a tax to conserve gas on suv's. Why not open up Alaska for drilling of oil. Why not open up off the coast of Calf. for drilling of oil. We have plenty of oil and natural gas. Most of the gas wells we shut down as they were not profitable to operate. The same thing with refineries in the U.S. We closed more of them in the twenty years due to environmental regulations. Perhaps some compromise could have been met however who is going to invest their money to get more government control over your business. I am not supporting oil companies nor bombing . This didn't happen overnight regardless of what it may look like. What ever happen to coal? We have more coal in the united states yet we aren't burning any of it in our power plants or factories. At the current price of oil it won't long before we are back to solar energy being more economical. etc. imo
