Hi Civ, I'm confused to. If Christ died "for ALL of our sins. for the entire earth on the cross 2000 years ago. So that issue is settled already. Are all of our sins forgiven? Yes...ALL of the earths sins have been forgiven." how can God judge anybody since unbelief is a sin (John 8:24). It seems to me that to believe what you are saying one would have to be a universalist(everybody will be saved), or are you saying Christ died for all sin except for that of unbelief. Finally for you to say,
"I don't have any "theology". I just read the Bible and believe whatever it says - and not try to give my opinion of what the verse/chapter etc means" and then proceed to do exactly that, seems just a bit funny to me. Not funny ha ha, just a little inconsistent. It's OK to have a Theology but we must all strive continually to bring that Theology under the full authority of the scripture, as I'm sure you would agree. I have found John MacArthurs book on the "Love of God" to be very helpful to me in working through this difficult question.
Have a blessed day Sola Scriptura, Greg
