Well, what can I say????????? PITTSFORD, N.Y., May 20 (Reuter) - MOSCOM Corp said Tuesday it has received notification from U S West Communications Group <USW.N> the company will not be awarded a contract for a station message detail record collection and transmission system. In November 1996, U S West had sent MOSCOM a letter of intent, stating that MOSCOM had been selected as the supplier of choice for this project, the company noted. In the notice received Tuesday, U S West stated that the main reason for the decision was its desire to have a UNIX-based solution, rather than MOSCOM's Windows NT proposal. MOSCOM said it intends to seek compensation from U S West. "Although this is a disappointing development, it does not alter MOSCOM's previously announced plans to re-focus on profitable operations," president David G. Mazzella said. "With the cost reductions that have recently been implemented, we still expect to be cash flow positive by year end." 13:07 05-20-97
