On DRAM memory, the numbers are very similar as to the ones I posted. 1% for SDRAM, 2% for RDRAM and 3% for DDR.

However, even before SDRAM and DDR came into the picture, Rambus had said in public and in a number of occasions that RDRAM controller royalties are in the 4-5% range. Since DDR is more than RDRAM and SDRAM is less than RDRAM, 3-4% for SDRAM and 5-6% for DDR are the logical numbers and mesh with the numbers that Rambus has said during their CCs. So I think Edelstone's numbers for controllers are 1% off.
