more later but for now the recent business week has an article on the exponential growth
coming for DSL and TBTI is RIGHT IN THERE with thier products...growth going at 40%
qtr to qtr in some forecats...DSL will overtake cable modems by 2002...this in my opinion
is a very strong reason to look at TBTI and their products...not to mention their numbers
so far this year...this today:

(COMTEX) B: Telebyte Introduces Multi-Line Local Loop Simulator At DS
B: Telebyte Introduces Multi-Line Local Loop Simulator At DSLcon '00; Modular
Design Optimizes Model 458 for Price/Performance and Expandability

GREENLAWN, N.Y. & BOSTON, Sep 19, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Telebyte, Inc.
(OTC
BB: TBTI), a leading manufacturer of data communications and DSL test equipment,
announced the introduction of the Model 458 Multi-Line Local Loop Simulator at
the DSLcon '00 Fall Conference in Boston, Massachusetts.

Model 458 is a modular solution designed to give both DSL modem and DSLAM
(Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) manufacturers the ability to test
multiple devices or ports simultaneously using a single, expandable rack-mounted
unit. Model 458 simulates the performance of up to 16 pairs of 26 AWG cable,
with line lengths ranging from 0 feet to 20,500 feet, independently or globally
adjustable in 500-foot increments. Additionally, the unit offers the ability to
combine two modules to deliver an extended range up to 41,000 feet for testing
applications over long distances. The effective bandwidth performance is DC to
1.5MHz.

"Previously, DSL modem and DSLAM manufacturers used spools of cable of varying
lengths, or individual wire line simulators to benchmark unit performance
against published standards," stated Ken Schneider, Telebyte Chairman and CEO.
Unit performance could only be tested one at a time. "Model 458 offers
significant advantages in terms of price-performance, extended range and size.
Multiple units or ports can now be tested simultaneously. Our solution allows
customers to achieve savings through the reduced cost of hardware per port.
Further, the efficient design of Model 458 minimizes space requirements needed
for testing in the manufacturing environment." Model 458 users will also realize
productivity gains through modifying test conditions with the click of a mouse
instead of manually reconfiguring simulated line lengths.

Model 458 Multi-Line Simulator supports ANSI, T1, E1.4 and CSA Test Loop
standards. In addition to testing ADSL, HDSL, HDSL2, ISDL, and SDSL modems, it
also can be used to test emerging DSL technologies including SHDSL and VoDSL,
adding greater utility and value for customers.

The modular Model 458 chassis architecture features a single control module and
accommodates up to 16 line simulation modules. The unit can be purchased with
any quantity of line simulation modules. Additional simulation modules may be
installed over time, allowing customers to scale testing capabilities up to
match required increases in manufacturing capacity. "We've designed Model 458 to
be a very cost-effective solution, delivering expandable testing capacity for
roughly half the cost per module as compared to adding individual line
simulators," continued Schneider. "With manufacturing floor space at a premium,
we expect significant interest from major DSLAM players with the need to test
multiple ports simultaneously such as Alcatel, Cisco, Copper Mountain and
Lucent, as well as the DSL modem manufacturing community."

Model 458 offers additional versatility through its built-in dual port control
module. The unit ships standard with both an IEEE-488 port, an interface common
to laboratory testing environments; and a RS-232 port bundled with Telebyte's
proprietary Graphical User Interface (GUI) software for connection and device
control via a standard PC. Either interface may be used to configure a line
simulation module to any length.

The new Model 458 Multi-Line Local Loop Simulator will be featured at Telebyte's
booth No. 319 in the DSLcon '00 Fall Conference and Exhibition, to be held
September 19 - 20, 2000, at the World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Model 458 pricing is determined by individual unit configuration. Contact
Telebyte for specific pricing and availability.
