No longer do I lurk, I've procrastinated this ambush for far too long. The reason is due in large part to the fact that I have been too lazy to send in a postcard to SI so they would allow me to post. Well now permission to me has been granted by them. Greetings to all.
I, like many of you, have been an ADVR shareholder for a very long time. My patience and wallet grew thin long ago. Many of you have raised issues concerning things about which I, quite frankly, could not care less. I'm in it for the money. And here I stay, a believer in what rests in Reticulose.
I chose to reply to for two reasons:
1. To provide humble, but critical, feedback on all ADVR communications efforts; 2. To suggest how we may be able to tell the ADVR story to a broader financial audience and, therefore, create awareness and demand for ADVR stock.
First of all, I write news releases for a living. It may be hard to believe, but its true that guys like me make money developing promulgated propaganda that you see on the news wires every morning. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing frustrates me more than when I see a company (especially one with whom I own stock) distribute news releases that are written by lawyers. Our company has a story to tell and they should and could tell it a hell of a lot more creatively, and with more compelling emphasis than they have been.
For starters, these news releases must be written with greater newsworthiness. The headline on each ADVR news release has not changed in two years. Let me explain why this in particular hurts us.
I feel that we must poke holes in the format and distribution methods of all ADVR news releases because unless we change, we're just casting deep-sea fishing hooks into mud puddles. Advanced Viral has a chance to play the dark horse taking the turf. Some sound communications strategies can make that happen.
Lastly, I realize that public relations is not a priority for ADVR, but I'm not pleased with the existing investor relations that is in place now. It seems that we're paying guys to take calls from shareholders just to banter about our stock when they should be aggressively contacting reporters and journalists at the financial media outlets to arrange interviews with key ADVR players. This has to happen.
In addition, ADVR releases should be sent in embargoed format to Dow Jones Reuters, Bloomberg, Associated Press, Investor's Business Daily and The Wall Street Journal.
Just some thoughts. Hope they're useful.
