Mike, << Win98 with dual monitors ... only one window can be "active" at the same time >> I use a single monitor, and I have seen dual monitors used with different open windows displayed, but not multiple active windows, since essentially if you are not networked you are operating in a single user mode, so the end result is that regardless of whether you are working in web view, classic view, or custom view (option for opening in same window or own window), each mouse or keyboard click into a window activates it. I presume you have experimented with folder settings? Start \| Settings \| Folder Options \| ... switching between folder views and selecting different options in custom ...
