Scumbria, I have no idea how the royalties are calculated and I'm not even going to guess. Since Rambus also receives royalties on RACs on RDRAM similar systems (including the Sony PS2), I'm sure that something similar in nature was worked out with the SDRAM memory controllers in the Hitachi parts. What that is in specifics, I don't know as all agreements are confidential, but I'm sure that it adds in some nice change. Rambus has said 4-6%. Now 4-6% of what amount, I don't know. If anyone else does, be my guest to post. I will not hypothesize on an amount since I do not have enough information to base it on.
