And I'm saying the same thing. This is no different than what Sony is paying Rambus for the dual RACs in the Sony PS2. What amount that is I don't know. All we know is that it is 4-6%. If it was me, I would want to collect about $1 per $20 part (50c on a $10 part) and maybe with a price cap for more expensive parts. I don't think you can rationalize it as a % of the die measure just because the MC is on-die vs. off die cause there is other extra costs by going off die (board real estate, pins, assembly etc..). JMHO of course.
