heinz, short interest was up big for almost all of the SOX stocks recently also.

One week ago all the ANALysts are in a tizzy calling the end of the cycle.

Today we have BofA upgrading AMD and INTC, raising prices targets and speaking positively about the DRAM market. Bear Stearns also reiterated some buys.

Get the shorts to pile in while they go long and then upgrade the sector and call it a "mid-cycle hiccup".

Bottom line, if the SOX gets smoking we aren't going down anytime soon.
