WOW! It sure was dark and stinky in there. Glad I only was in part way...my head. You are right I was operating on correct information falsely interpreted by yours truly. Also just to share with all who may not have seen this on the Infineon page... "Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line Infineon provides ADSL solutions for the network side as well as the CPE side of the local loop. With the B-MUSLIC chip set (Broadband Multi Channel Subscriber Line Interface Concept) solution, Infineon Technologies will offer the first splitter-less ADSL-Lite concept on the market for line-card applications. It is based on Infineon's revolutionary broadband SLIC and Analog Front End (AFE) technology. The ADSL-Lite algorithms are supplied by Aware, securing conformance to industry standards and interoperability. The solution is the first to combine voice and broadband data services on an 8-channel highly integrated chip set, thereby eliminating the POTS splitter on the network side and separating voice and data on the linecard-side of the network. The chip set supports multiple voice and DSL-Lite channels through a highly integrated signal path, enabling central office, Multi service platform and digital loop carrier system manufacturers to achieve savings in cost and power consumption, and benefits from increased port densities.
