Tellium claims first to market advantage with its second generation optical switch - claims twice the capacity of its competitors in less room. I recall how Nortel turned to Juniper when its terabit core router was delayed. If Nortel is late with its optical cross-connect, I could envision a situation where they could turn to Tellium, Sycamore or Ciena to fill the gap.
