I said a couple of times what I meant. Yes, there is interpretation and the application of the document to novel circumstances; no, it is not infinitely malleable, and there should be a reasonable relationship between the text and the interpretation/application. If the text cannot be made to fit without contortion, it should be amended by the prescribed route.......
