Scumbria,

Some of the most successful people in the computer industry failed to complete college at all.

His academic troubles started in high school, and concentrated precisely in subjects where you say he excels, so there is a huge disconnect between your claim and the evidence.

From personal experience, I can tell you that when I had my "lapses" and didn't study, I ended up with worse grades in areas where I don't have talent, where studying would compensate for my lack of talent, as in let's say foreign languages.

My talents for natural sciences always carried me through those subjects, and my grades there continued to be A's.

The man has worked his way up to being the second most powerful person in the world, and you are saying he has a "mediocre mind"?

To get there, you need the sills (talent) required to be a good politician. You need to know how to BS well. I have no doubt that Gore has those skills.

Joe
