Must be crab apples. $200m…..how much do you think S3 invested in R & D over the years. What about the cost of all those patents from Cirrus Logic? How about all those engineers that were laid off and given fat severance packages? (Yes I know that they wrote all of that off many months ago). In regards to the RIO IPO.....yes, you said it...how can you IPO something that isn't anything? I agree....but from comments made at conference calls, press releases in regards to this, investors have been lead to believe that this was a pending deal......Many have bought into the idea that this would increase stock value over time. Well it has been well over a year. In fact Pots stated last year that the target would be the beginning of 2000 and with that and some other B.S. the stock rose to over $20/share. As for UMC. Since the beginning, everyone has stated the value of this from ~$200M - ~$1B........so what? Why do people insist on S3 mentioning this (they have)? >>All in all, the S3 ball is starting to roll. Lighten up you say...yeah I will lighten up just as soon as S3 makes a profit.....NOT! You can go peddle your pie-in-the-sky stuff all you want but I don't buy it.
