| Looks like I played this wrong. I started buying when the stock hit 70, and kept trying to sell my higher-cost lots, and buy the dips. I made the mistake of thinking the stock was going to stay below 60 for longer. Then, I thought 70 was resistance. Sold everything recently, for slightly more than my cost. At one point recently, I had 30% of my portfolio in QCOM, at an average cost of 62. Now I'm out, and watching it take off. Oh, well. Tried to be too clever. Still, I'm not going to chase it, and I haven't lost anything (other than opportunity and pride). I'll either catch the bottom, or look elsewhere. And, who knows, maybe I'll get another chance (although it doesn't look like it at the moment). |
