SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Analog Devices CEO Jerald Fishman said the analog and digital chipmaker supplies 50 percent of analog chips in today's base stations and that it expects to ship 7 million DSL chipsets this year.

Fishman said Tuesday at the Banc of America Securities Investment Conference in San Francisco that the fiscal-year 2000 will be an "absolutely great year for ADI (ADI: news, msgs)," adding that it will be ADI's best year yet.

The CEO projects double-digit sequential-sales growth for the fourth quarter, with year 2000 sales growing 75 percent from 1999 levels. For 2001, sales should grow 45 percent from 2000, Fishman added.
