Scumbria,

I think that VIA launched their DDR chipsets today, so you don't need to wait till next year.

Do you suppose those were some of the products that the anonymous Micron DDR team member said were having compatibility problems? I only ask because when Intel "launched" the 840 and 820 chipsets, they had systems ready to ship almost immediately from all the major PC vendors. According to the latest reports, however, we should see DDR-based systems from the major PC vendors mid next year. Wazzup with that? That certainly is not my definition of a "launch". So, like, when you guys look back and celebrate the DDR phenomenon, what day are you going to celebrate on? The day that DDR chips started shipping, about 9 months later when chipsets started shipping, or 9 months after that when the major PC vendors started shipping DDR systems.

I just want to be able to send a card. <G>
