I have a follow up on this virus issue I mentioned a few weeks back.

After a little research, I'm pretty sure that the virus was a back door type of attack made through my open Earthlink connection. Hackers use the IPs of major on-line services to hunt for vulnerable Net connections. They look for networked systems that have open permission on the local C drive and gain access. Network.vbs has been associated with this type of attack. I had my sharing permissions open on that C drive because of my home networking system and didn't see any need to password-protect it from my other computers.

I've added a password that the other PCs have to provide on boot up and have not had a repetition of the virus.
