Judi,
DRE - Duke Realty has been one of the best performing REIT's over the last 6 years. It was around 9-1/2 to 11 at the end of 1990, so it has more than triples + a high dividend on the original $11 if bought back then. It need to grow 8% or faster to justify it's current price, but the last 6 months has seen a 13% increase in FFO over the previous year. So... based on the pst 6 years and the last 6 months, this stock should continue to be a winner. There is some selling pressure currently, but it will likely dry up in the next few months.
