I think you undervalued their Linux side. Don't forget that, apart from the OS distribution they also have (or will, soon) an Office Suite. I downloaded and tried out the Star Office (from Sun) suite on my Solaris machine and wasn't sure whether to cry or laugh. I'd also tried the HotJave browser (also from Sun) -- same reaction. I have to think it's the company -- great servers, pretty good OS, couldn't make applications to save their lives. Of course, I haven't seen what Perfect Office can do in a Linux system, but it can't be as bad as Star Office. I can see CORL being an interesting acquisition for someone looking to sell some Linux boxes. But short-term, I don't think the selling is over.
