Have to agree with you wholeheartedly! I am just amazed at the number of people who think this 'game' of trading is easy, and try to do this on a part-time basis or as a hobby or for second incomes. That is nothing more than speculating, and while there is absolutely nothing wrong with speculation (its after all as old as the markets) there is absolutely no sympathy from anyone when speculators get hurt. That goes with the territory.

Novice investors should read the Motley Fool and learn how to research and invest in great companies for the long term (no less than five years actually, to account for a full market cycle)and completely ignore CNBC and its short term focus. And this advice is coming from someone who invests and trades for a living!
