Would have been better if the DOJ hadn't gone after Microsoft. California is now considering a tax on the internet. The proposal is just for companies that have physical stores in addition to a web presence, but it's the proverbial camel's nose under the tent. It will pave the way for an across the board tax if they to pass it. California is run by Democrats, so they just might be dumb enough to kill the golden goose, we'll see.
