Hi to Check (who brought me to SI), Bearcatbob (who brokered the transaction) and the rest of you KOB threadsters (who have to deal with my postings, thanks to them).

While I've posted on SH,for over a year, this is my ''first time'' with you fellas so I'm a little nervous. Be gentle! *ggg*

Also, although my name shows ''dad'' I am, in fact, draderd (on SH). I don't want to confuse anyone, so thought you should know. My profile will assist you, in understanding my disturbed sense of humor?/! :o)

On SH, I replied to the following:

''It is standard procedure to function/pressure test Blowout Preventers prior to entering a zone that contains high pressure. You will be using them and they have to work. A safety check of other systems etc. can also be done at the same time.''

My reply:

That is exactly the reason drilling was stopped three days ago. The drilling crew set plugs, which allows them to inspect and test the BOP (blow out preventor). During the inspection there were a couple of parts, on the BOP that did not meet/conform to proper safety standards and new parts had to be ordered.

The fellas, at the fishing hole,(I spend a great deal of time "fishing for information") believe the new parts will be installed and BKP#2 should be ''pressured up'' sometime tomorrow.

From what I overheard, at my favorite fishing spot, they may enter the Temblor as early as Thursday and have a preliminary target depth of 200 to 300 feet of drilling ahead of them. This drilling will be VERY SLOW and done VERY CAUTIOUSLY (remember the pressures they are dealing with). It is my understanding that it could take anywhere from one week to 10 days to drill.

From past experience, with BKP#1, it is then reasonable to assume that at least 10 days will be required to prepare the hole for perfing, another 14 days for flow testing and at least 10 days for the results to be tabulated.

It appears that, if all goes as planned (RO3) :( the news release should be out between the second or third week of November. Any date earlier than that would be a major surprise, so relax investors.

My best guess (and that is what it is) is that I'll be sitting in a cotton field, watching a beautiful flare, around October 23rd.

I'm fishing again tomorrow and hope to find an angler with status update on BKP#3, the rumor of a November 1rst spud date at BKP#4, which has never been announced by Berkley Petroleum (as far as I can see...and that isn't that far),
and the persistent rumor that BKP#4 will use the rig across the hiway.

The rig, at BKP#2, is more likely to be used to spud BKP#4, IMHOBWTHDIK.

Under this scenario, BKP#4 would likely not be spudding November 1rst.

Grayhairs and S'n'P, I'd appreciate your comments.

BTW, the forecast here in Calgary, is for SNOW!!Brrrrrrrr!! Time to clean the clubs and get ready to migrate south.

LHG, I will need pad 39, at the KOA, again soon!

As always,

Good fortune to ALL ELH INVESTORS!
Good health to ALL ELH DRILLING RIG CREWS!

PS: Hi hops,
Any chance you will be picking cotton, out of your teeth, :o) around Oct. 23?
