Down a serious amount of money as I am, I'm not too sure that a class action suit would have any merit. How often are these suits settled in favor of the shareholder? Not very. And in the case of CUBE we're looking at a substantial dip in quarterly revs due to what appears to be a one time engineering screwup and increasing competition which the company has admitted. The channel stuffing does not seem to me to be grounds for a suit and would be a very difficult point to build upon. Anyone who knows the legal ins and outs, please comment.

The big question is whether this quarterly dip has longer term ramifications or whether we'll make this up over the next 2 or 3 quarters. Remember, AB has indicated VCD as a shrinking portion of overall revs. This has just been magnified due to competition and the apparent problem with the reduction to 35 microns. The bigger question is whether the revs from DVD and DBS will kick in at a level sufficient to grow the business. Any comments on this from David N, John R or other informed participants.

I've ridden this one down about as far as I'd like, but still it seems that the long-term, potential cash cows for cube are just on the horizon. This VCD debacle notwithstanding, cube is still worth holding for me if this horizon is six rather than 18 months away. Anyone out there who sees a ray of hope?

PS: I appreciate a good blue streak of profanity as much as the next guy, but its recent use on this thread has been sophomoric at best.
