Chic, <For the sake of you and I, and all the Intel investors that have taken a stake in AMD, let's hope they can come out with a competitive product sometime soon.>

AMD has their PowerNow! technology that should be featured in their mobile Athlon (whatever it was called). This technology looks to be almost as sophisticated as Transmeta's advanced power management.

Now it remains to be seen how well AMD does in reducing the power requirements from desktop to mobile Athlon. Otherwise, PowerNow! will become more of a necessity than an advantage.
