Robert, Re: I expect answer from each. Carefully. As has been done, i assume. I guess I had more insisted on a close monitoring by the steering committee (DSMB). With the option to terminate the study prematurely (due to not foreseen problems) or change the protocol in the course of the study (maybe more difficult on a prospective manner). As soon as it became evident that the first patients died due to logistic(?) problems the whole study design was to be questioned. Regards, Manfred
