HELSINKI, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Finnish telecom equipment maker Nokia <NOK1V.HE> said on Wednesday it had won an over $100 million GSM expansion deal for China's second largest operator China Unicom <0762.HK> covering four provinces.

Nokia said the GSM expansion would increase capacity for more than a million subscribers in Shanghai, Anhui, Hunan and Gansu provinces.

"Nokia will supply its high capacity "i-series" network products including mobile switching centers, base stations, and base station controllers," Nokia said in a statement, adding that the deal also included a range of services.

It said the deliveries had already started and the systems would be operational this month.
