Re. Euro denominated investments:

* $10 initial offering price per unit
* 21 month maturity
* 105-115% participation, if any, of the Euro relative to the Dollar
* Principal protection [you get @ least you're $10 back]
* FDIC insured [I read as a Merril obligation]

So this is a 'structured product'... I hear my old boss @ CSFB is running Merrill derivative efforts, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's making this stuff up. Good idea of course, but I'm sure there is plenty of profit in it for Merrill!! Still, don't know that that matters if you're right.
