uniView Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq:UVEW) and privately held Intertainer, Inc. announced today an alliance to deliver Intertainer's entertainment on demand broadband service over the uniView(R) Digital Set Top Box using DSL connectivity. This unprecedented agreement positions both companies as the first to enable a VOD solution directly to the television set via a set-top box. uniView's set top box incorporates Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT) Windows Media Player as well as other Microsoft products to manage the content. Intertainer holds licensing rights to entertainment programming from more than 60 media companies, including DreamWorks SKG, Sony Music, Warner Bros. and Columbia TriStar Television. Applications have been developed by uniView to integrate additional functionality, such as high-speed Internet connectivity and enhanced television features. The new version of the uniView Model 310 set top box, which will be designated uniView Model 410, is specifically designed to incorporate DSL modems by Intel (Nasdaq:INTC) and others.

Customers can view their choices in full-screen, high-quality resolution with complete VCR-functionality, allowing them to stop, rewind and fast-forward selections.
