Wiz, NN, We've been studying up on BVSN, I'm still worried about the architecture transition, but then this nonsense comes along: <<BroadVision, which is best known for selling software that lets companies personalize what customers see on Web sites, said in a statement that it expects its new MarketMaker product to ``blow Ariba and Commerce One out of the water.'' >> What the %^**$#@#$ are these morons thinking? They explicitly stated they weren't going to go after cmrc and arba (nor can they come close in the attempt in my opinion). This is a no win loudmouth and perhaps strategically stupid thing to do. I'm also troubled by the release a few days before the end of the quarter....our indications were that despite artg strengthening, bvsn was having no problems....but trying to slide a new product out just before the q is out? and then this "blowing away" nonsense. it reminds me of several software acts of bravado in the past..... OS/2 better Windows than Windows, Better DOS than DOS Vantive: We're gonna crush SEBL in SFA, etc etc. Now I wonder if BVSN is really actually a short? TD
