<< My religion states that the soul enters the human fetus at the end of the first trimester. >>

I would possibly vote against all abortions after the first trimester; except for rape, incest, and the health of the woman; IF abortifacients were made readily available and over the counter.

For years, religious groups have prevented women's access to abortifacients, preventing women from terminating a pregnancy early, before a fetus forms. Even Clinton runs scared from the anti-abortion powers. Look how long RU486 has been held up.

The reason: Because of the dogma that a soul appears at conception.

I disagree with that. I don't believe that an embryo, or a fertilized egg, has a soul.

Those that do, should state why they believe that it is bad for an embryo's soul to go to Heaven. Our life on Earth is so brief, compared to an eternity in Heaven.

Anyway, by George Junior chosing anti-abortion Cheney, as his running mate, Junior has shown his true "compassionate conservative" colors, and thus Junior is falling further behind with the women's vote.

This election is critical. If Gore gets into office, the Democrats will appoint up to four Supreme Court Justices, without the influence of the religious right. And, don't forget the hundreds of federal judge appointments, also.
