RE: Shark Story Many brokers seem to get very upset with Bob, as evidenced on this very thread. They feel that he is anti-broker because he suggests that people learn to manage their own money. Did you hear the call last weekend from the lady who went to a "financial advisor" in an insurance company? Ten years ago, she had $1.5 million. The "financial advisor" sold her $500,000 of limited partnerships (at a huge commission, I'm sure) that are now worthless. Additionally, he put $100,000 into some kind of an insurance instrument and the rest in loaded mutual funds. Ten years later (last Sunday), she called Bob. SHE ONLY HAS $250,000 LEFT!!! What a sad story. Too bad she didn't listen to Bob 10 years ago and learn how to manage her own money. Best wishes, I2
