What you are missing is that if NTAP continues to meet its expectations of 90%+ growth what EMC says will not matter. It will be transparent to the analysts that EMC is reclassifying it sales from SAN to NAS and is growing that market from its base--not new customers.

NTAP will be able to show growth from new customers, good win rates against EMC, new products and strong margins.

I DO expect EMC to be able to show larger NAS sales than NTAP for a few quarters--maybe for a lot of quarters. But NTAP's growth rate will still be greater than EMC's overall growth rate.

Now, we are at lofty multiples, so momo reaction could be bad. You have a point.
