Final lesson. New car A costs the dealer $20k and cost the maker $15k to make and lists for $27k.

Your trade lists at $5k wholesale and $7500 retail.

Your first price will be $22k for the trade. Now they have a $2k sale going on so the price is $20k plus your trade. They all can still make a nice profit with a trade of $13k. That $7k is your haggle grounds. As long as you stay at the dealer you are a potential sale, you leave and you are a missed sale. Salespeople hate to miss sales and commissions. When they ask what you are willing to pay always go way low and leave.
