<< United Technologies, based in Hartford, Connecticut, said yesterday that it will demonstrate the world's first gasoline-powered fuel cell with the U.S. Department of Energy. >>

Global Thermoelectric GLE on the Toronto exchange has already demonstrated gasoline powered fuel cells, and is working with Delphi on a 42 Volt auxiliary power unit. globalte.com

I see fuel cell cars coming on more rapidly than people think, with the first ones using hydrocarbon fuels, evolving into hydrogen only FC cars in less than 10 years. I've heard that Honda has been showing their gas/electric hybrid on the Olympics, saying that their FC hybrid is coming soon. I see no reason to doubt them.
