What your perspective does highlight is the mindshare that MS has, a definite gorilla characteristic.

My friend used linux about 8 months ago. I asked him. "Is it time to switch to linux and get ridd of MS for ever?"

His answer was, "No, it's too hard to use still"

So unless they've had a major push forward in the GUI front, or my friend had no idea what he's doing then maybe linux is ready for prime time.

Ya, i know linux has the basic apps. Star Office, RealPlayer, Netscape, ect..

I'll give linux another try when i get a chance.
